In my never-ending quest to replace all of my old cathode ray tube televisions around the house, I decided to give this product, the "Apex LE1912 19-Inches 720p High Definition LCD Television with Edge LED Backlight", a try. This LCD/LED TV is a moderately-priced, low frills television, but includes a few higher end features into its less than high-end price. The most interesting feature is the edge LED backlight. I'm not a techo-guy, but with LED backlighting the TV can be thinner, use less power, and have a brighter picture (particularly for blacks and whites). LED backlighting used to be included only on expensive LCD TVs, but it has been working its way down into lower priced models the past year or so. Below are my impressions of this TV:Pros: - It's indeed very thin and very light! Yes, this TV is only 720p but for a bedroom, home office or bar, this little TV is perfect. I was fortunate to receive this TV from Amazon's vine program for review. I was surprised that the set has Edge LED backlight technology at this selling price. Works good, looks good, very light and portable. Wouldn't be ideal for a home theater, of course, but for just a little over $100 I doubt even Walmart could beat this deal. Made in China, I knocked off a star. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful LOVE IT, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Apex LE1912 19-Inches 720p High Definition LCD Television with Edge LED Backlight - Black (Electronics) First of all shipping was fast, Stationed in Afghanistan, I ordered this TV on 19th April and I received it on 24th Meanwhile the estimated arrival date was 7th May (Awesome Amazon) I can now watched my NBA Games HOAAA.The only reason I rated this TV 4 OUT OF 5 is because it is a little difficult to connect the RF IN Cable,it will be much easier to connect The RF Cable if the connector is on the side and am sure connecting monitor cable will also be a little tight. Other than that BRAVO The GAME IS ON. Nice TV. |
